East Yorkshire XC League

Sunday 7th March at Sewerby saw the final race in this winters EYXC League. The race was run over a slightly amended course due to water logging on the old route, but everything seemed to go smoothly.

This season has seen a pleasing increase in the numbers of Brid members taking part and was reflected in the best finish for our Men's team for several years.

Phill Taylor had a brilliant season and was ably supported by the likes of Nick Hellewell, Peter Gulc, Andrew Yeomans and Kevin Lewis. It was also great to see the return of Stuart Spooner to the East Yorkshire XC scene.

Although the Ladies finished the season in 6th place and didn’t always manage to field a full team it was good to see new lady runners making their debut.

Cross Country Championships

This year we had runners representing the club at the Humberside, National and Inter-County Championships. At the Humberside Phill Taylor and Nick Hellewell put in performances which earned them places in the Inter-Counties at Birmingham representing Humberside.
